Delete your account
Your POI Hunter account is anonymous. You can delete it together with all game data at any time.
In the app (immediately)
- Open POI Hunter and tap Settings.
- In the Account section, choose “Delete account and game data”.
- Confirm the deletion. The app then starts as a new player.
By email (without the app)
Write to poihunter@anzalichi.de with the subject “Delete account” and your player ID. You can find it in the app under Settings → About → Player ID (tap to copy).
We delete the account within 30 days, to the same extent as in the app, and confirm this to you by email. We then delete your email.
Without the player ID we cannot find an anonymous account. If you have already removed the app and do not know your player ID, your account is deleted automatically once it has not been used for 12 months. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete your account on the server.
What is deleted
- your player document with block list, world draft, recent check-ins, daily values and counters;
- your public profile (player name), any ban and admin rights;
- your check-ins that have not been counted yet and your invitations;
- reports about you;
- your sign-in (Firebase Authentication);
- when deleting in the app, also on the device: your privacy zone, your onboarding progress, your recent check-ins and your stored player name.
You leave your world as if you left it yourself: if you are the founder, the longest-standing member takes over; if you are alone, your world fades.
What is kept without any link to you
- your reports about others – without you as the reporter, until 90 days after they were resolved;
- the world treasury history – your spending appears as “former member”;
- the moderation log – without your account ID;
- worlds, hexes, influence and world books – they belong to the world, not to a player.
Technical server logs are deleted after 30 days. A pending translation job for your world draft (containing your account ID) is deleted in the daily clean-up at the latest, once it is older than 24 hours. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
